Red clover or violet clover is a legume plant native to Europe, western Asia, and northwest Africa. Its cultivation seems to date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
It's a herbaceous perennial 10-60 cm tall (can reach up to 110 cm) and variable hairiness. Erect or ascending stems. Its root system consists of a pivoting root, which is small compared to the numerous adventitious roots, forming a crown that starts from the neck.

El trébol rojo o trébol violeta es una planta leguminosa nativa de Europa, oeste de Asia y noroeste de África. Su cultivo parece datar de hacia los siglos XVII y XVIII.
Es una planta herbácea perenne de 10-60 cm de altura (puede alcanzar hasta 110 cm) y vellosidad variable. Tallos erectos o ascendentes. Su sistema de raíces consiste en una raíz pivotante, que es pequeña en comparación con las numerosas raíces adventicias, formando una corona que comienza desde el cuello.
